Ghetto Artists is an NGO that has been working in Francistown for over 15 years, primarily using the performing arts, linked with life-skills education, to address various community concerns. Partners and Networks Ghetto Artists is associated with BAOTA (Botswana Association of Theatre Activities), SATI (Southern African Theatre Initiative), BOCONGO (Botswana Coalition of NGOs), BONASO (Botswana Network of AIDS Service Organisations) and AYA (African Youth Alliance). The organization has also partnered with the Centre for the Deaf, Francistown Schools, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture, Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime and Botswana Television. Our work has been recognized with many awards from various offices including the Botswana National Youth Council, World Bank Innovation Day Award, the Department of Culture and Youth and many more. The organisation has implemented programmes in partnership with major national and international funders and partners including African Comprehensive HIVAIDS Partnership, UNICEF and Population Service International Botswana. |
